Today, we launched the new version of our online platform: the OpenMotics Cloud. Not only the appearance, but also the functionalities, have undergone major changes. But why, you may ask? In this blogpost, we want to point out some of the amazing new features and reasons why we released a new version of the Cloud.
A more intuitive UX
Intuitive design means that when a user sees it, they know exactly what to do. We changed the complete look of our configuration platform just to make sure you no longer lose time searching the right page. We created a more extended and straightforward menu to help you get around easily.
Add, remove or change users in just a few clicks
User management describes the ability for administrators to manage user access. Our renewed user page makes it possible to easily create, delete or change users in just a few clicks.
Create personal notifications
With our new platform, we want to give everyone the possibility to create personalized notifications. In this way, you are in complete control of your system. You can for example, make sure you know when someone leaves the home or when the TV is turned on.
Schedule your automations
To add even more comfort to your daily life, you can create schedules. You can just plan ahead your recurring automations and scènes to make sure you downsize the amount of actions you need to do. Moreover, by creating a schedule, we give you the possibility to create a unique and personalized mockupancy. You can just plan your ‘fake presence’ scene in a calendar at the moments you’re not at home to make sure you scare unwanted visitors away.
Easy to manage Energy module and pulse counters
Managing your Energy module and pulse counters is made so much easier in the new version of the OpenMotics Cloud. From now on, you can for example create or adapt suppliers with just a few clicks.
